Hi Gents,
Does anyone know how to factor in end-to-end link performance metrics such
as delay, reliability , jitter etc into dynamic route selection?
Forexample, if there are two routes from a router to a destination network
with the same metric learned via EIGRP, for instance. How would one
configure the router such that if one of the links becomes degraded
somewhere within the service provider cloud, then the metric should increase
so only the more stable route is installed into the routing table.
Some possible options would be performance routing and optimised edge
routing but these only work for small networks and are restricted to just
bgp and static routes.
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks
John
