If you have studied well, there is pretty much nothing
you can do at this point that will change your chances
of failing or passing. Unless of course you freak out.
As far as changing your biological sleep clock, it
takes about two weeks to change the biological clock
for sleeping. What can help is 3mg of melatonin 30
minutes before you want to sleep, and stay awake during
the period matching your exam. Keep doing this until
you achieve your results. Of course, the next few days
probably will not make any difference.
I would stay away from anything that would excite your
nervous system. IE, caffeine or any other stimulate.
I had to do this in Iraq to adjust for different
mission protocols. Melatonin works best because it is
the hormone that is released in the brain to tell the
body to rest. The amount of melatonin is also dictated
by the amount of sunlight and darkness perceived by the
brain. SO, if you want to trick the brain into
thinking it is night, block sunlight into your bedroom
and get a mask, along with taking melatonin about 30
minutes before trying to sleep.
DO NOT take melatonin the night before the exam. It
may affect your alertness in the morning. For me, I
feel quite refreshed. For others, they feel like a
Mack truck hit them.
