Ospf dabase filter

HI Group

I am aware of following 2 facts

[A] " ip ospf database-filter all out " should be used on BROADCAST media type.
[B] " neighbor <> database-filter all out " should be used on
MULTI-POINT media type.

I labbed the same and ran them individually on a BROADCAST media type

R2 f0/0 ---------------f0/0 R3

However both CLIs produce same result .. is there a case where one
should be used over other ? Or is there a difference in result that
these 2 provide which i have missed ?
