Ok. This is getting ridiculous! I did this lab again today and it seems to
be a bug on this router's interface only! I tried the default interface
command to no avail. F0/0 has no such problem. its only f0/1. Check it out:
R7#show run int f0/1
Building configuration...
Current configuration : 145 bytes
!
interface FastEthernet0/1
ip address 150.100.221.7 255.255.255.0
duplex auto
speed auto
traffic-shape group 101 7000000 875000 0 1000
end
R7#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
R7(config)#int f0/1
R7(config-if)#no traffic-shape group 101
R7(config-if)#exit
R7(config)#do show run int f0/1
Building configuration...

traffic-shape group 101 7000000 875000 0 1000
end
R7(config)#default interface f0/1

R7(config)#do show run int f0/1

FastEthernet0/1 from FULL to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Interface down or detached

end
R7(config)#
Traffic-shape is still there!!
