Most of the modern Enterprise Virus Update and Package Management
applications use multicast for deployment of updates. Novell Netware IP uses
Multicast for the Server Location Protocol. There is limited multicast on
the Internet, http://www.shepfarm.com/multicast/ and
http://www.multicast-isp-list.com/index2002.html. But it is heavily deployed
on the Internet2/Abilene as well as the National Lambda Rail for both IPv4
and IPv6.
