RE: Route filter in EIGRP

Vijay,

Changing metric for the interfaces SHOULD WORK!

EIGRP uses the minimum bandwidth of the path as one of the metrics (BW).
Bumping up the BW for Serial0/0 will not actually doing you any good. If
you check the show ip ei topo for the route, you still see minimum
bandwidth metric the same (128K) for the path via Serial0/0.

Instead, you should deacrease bandwidth of E0/0 to let say 56K.
Alternatively, you can give Serial0/0 a very high delay.

Another option is to use Offset list. E.g.

access-list 99 permit 192.10.1.0 0.0.0.255
router eigrp 100
 offset-list 99 in 30000000 Ethernet0/0

FR SVC disabled, LAPF state down

Rack1R1(config-if)#do sh ip ro 192.10.1.0 Routing entry for
192.10.1.0/24
Known via "eigrp 100", distance 170, metric 309760, type external

Route metric is 309760, traffic share count is 1
Total delay is 2100 microseconds, minimum bandwidth is 10000 Kbit

I would say change the metric values of the interfaces. I.e by giving ur
preferred link a better bandwidth value than ur currently used link.
