I see your point there, but don't necessarily agree.... I will absolutely
agree that people need to have some flavor of real-life experience to go
along with this, otherwise too many things just don't make sense...

On the same notion though, the CCIE isn't about real life! It's about
technologies. And you'll learn more details (generally speaking) about
those in vendor's workbooks and bootcamps than you will with several years
on live networks.

That's just because we have different focusses in real life versus in lab
exams! But real life experience should give us the perspective on things as
we move forward!

Either way, though, the key is that the CCIE number is not the END of the
journey! I still remember walking out of the lab up in Halifax (closed
now) on a nice, sunny day, having just received my number.... I walked
across the street to a park and just laid down staring up at the sky. And
the biggest thing I remember is thinking about all the things I knew and
realizing "damn, there's even more stuff I don't know!".

CCIE is but a pit-stop on our technical journey! Vendors and bootcamps
cannot possibly teach you everything!

It is due to easiness of passing the lab and availability of the Dynampis
and the most NEGATIVE thing is to ONLY AND ONLY FOCUS ON VENDOR WORKBOOKS
AND BOOTCAMP in order to get the NUMBER.
