I was active on this list 6 year ago before I sat the lab. I have been
watching on and off since and helping when time permits. The list goes in
cycles. Right now it is out of focus. Way too many questions that are not CCIE
quality. Most companys force the use of a special character in passwords - any
of the 100 or so network ops guys where I work could tell you how to do it.
For me that is a CCNA question - not IE. If you have passed the written - a
prerequisite for this list - you should know it.

If you are serious about
your studies this list should be important to you. If it is important keeping
it focused on discussions that will help you pass the lab should also be
important. These days there are a lot more CCNA questions and off topics then
ones that really help.

"Still don't think it is a ccie study question"

Talk about a
poor sport! Section I-B of the blueprint includes...VTP...hmmm...

I would
think that includes how to set a vtp password, with the particular caveat of
setting one with a question mark. I didn't know that one until I started
studying for the lab (which was before I took the written by the way).

The
topic of his post was not "Have I taken the written yet and/or your concerns
on whether I have" so stop trying to change it to that. Maybe you should start
a separate chain for your ad hominems.

I saw the quotes around the "?".
Still don't think it is a ccie study question. No one even bothers to search
the cisco site before they email the list. We have a lot of off topic and and
questions that belong on the general list not here, and not much studying
going on....

Still did not answer my question - has he passed the written?
