What is the model of switch and IOS version?

Has this GBIC link worked before or is this a new connection?

Have you tried to swap the fiber connections on one end?

Hi Experts,

I m facing 1 issue with 1 of my access switches,my switch uplink ports are
gibic modules and i m not able to connect

to the core.i have changed the gbic modules but still it does'nt work and
also the fibre cable too.One of the strange thing is that when i remove

gbic module still the led glows orange and when i insert it again still it
remains same .Interface is up but the line protocol is down always.

Have any body face this issue before i have done the default interface also
but still it doesnt come up.I dont understand when there is no gbic moduls
inserted still the light glows orange

And when i m inserting in the next Gbic port the light doesnt even glows nor
orange nor green.it seems like the module is not inserted.Trunk
configurations are correct and also negotiations are also correct
