RIP advertisement

Hi GSs,
Let say in the lab I got a router has the below interfaces:

Fa0/0 : 147.1.0.0/24
Ser1/0: 147.1.8.0/24
Ser1/1: 147.1.11.0/24

And I am asked to enable rip on interface ser 1/0. Does this
requirement imply that I must filter out the updates for network
147.1.0.0/24 and 147.1.11.0/24 when it was advertised out ser1/0? Cos
to enable rip on ser1/0 I will have to use "net 147.1.0.0", and that
actually put all three interfaces RIP enable I guess. Passive interface
will just stop the update from being sent out that interface but no
stopping the interface route from being advertised.

Thanks for your feedback

Best regards,
Shawn
