By using a virtual-link you have made the router a member of area 0.
You are summerising from one area to another, if you make the router a
member of the area you are summerising from then you will loose your summary
because it sees the routes in the area that you are summerising from.
I seem to remember the solution gave a good explanation, failing that, check
out the IE forum, when I first started doing the labs their was quite a bit
of info so it must be even better now.
