I know people who obtained an interim Secret in 2 weeks and
a full Secret about 4 months later. The Top Secret
clearance took 1 1/2 years but did not require any
polygraphs. There are various "add ons" you can get :)
I've heard the TS/SCI for example takes forever due to the
requirement for a lifestyle polygraph and a huge backlog for
getting them.
