As far as I understand, both side router interface should be matched.
MTU 4470 is default for WAN Serial connection by Cisco and other vendors.
If one side is GigE interface, the other end should be GigE interface.
If one side is T3, the other end should be T3 interface.
Hold-queue size should be determined by Router CPU load, and other
parameters from WAN card performance such as tx-ring or something like
that.
