Unfortunately it's not under warranty anymore, but works just fine with a
12.3 IOS.

if this issue is on warranted devices, you may want to open a TAC case. i'm
pretty sure many of us would be interested in finding out what the issue
was, if any, or if it's a bug for that particular IOS and platform. either
way, good luck.

Same here :). I am sure this issue is probably specific to either IADs or
integrated T1 flex controllers. I've done many 1800 series, and 2800 series
with wic-1dsu-T1 and E1 modules and never ran into this :). I'll just run
12.3 on it!

that's really weird. i've used T1 modules in 7206s running 12.4 quite a bit
and never had any issues such as this. i don't know what to say. honestly
i really prefer to stay away from T1s when i can :-)

Didn't start a BERT test.
This only happens on IOS 12.4. I load 12.3 and it's fine. I can't find any
Cisco documentation to state why this change was made. There are no BERT
commands under the t1 controller.
The interfaces are integrated and not WIC modules. I've worked w/ BERT
patterns on channelized OC modules before so i'm familiar with the syntax.
I just can't figure this one out!

Did you guys start the T-1 BERT? Do a "show run" and look for any "t1
bert" instances to negate. wish i had a T-1 module to test with really
quick, but it sounds as though someone started a bert on at least one of
your t1s. if you can't find the cmd to negate, you might be able to do
"default" xxx global config' command to restore your t1 controller.
show controllers t1 bert may give you some info' based on the bert if you're
interested.
