Yep, I'd have to agree with Scott.
Doyle's books (particularly Routing TCP/IP Vol 1 Sec. Ed) are some of the
best written textbooks I've ever read. He clearly and comprehensively builds
up examples that will walk you through the fundamental knowledge required.
If you're planning on doing your R&S lab I highly recommend you read at
least Vol 1 (and Vol 2 too if you get the time) cover to cover. They're also
a brilliant reference book too. I still mourn over having to sell my copies
before I relocated...

The RFC are a little rough place to start out! Good information, but not an
easy read!
I'd suggest checking out Doyle's books (Routing TCP/IP Vol 1 & 2).

Subject: Explain OSPF LSA types
Hello Experts,
Can someone explain OSPF LSA types ? Which LSA type will flow from one area
to another or who will generate different types of LSA? I was reading RFC
2328 OSPF Ver2 & I couldn't understand how & who will generate these LSA's.
Can some one give me an example or small LAB for this?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Ashwani
