Hi All,
Just to confirm on my understanding, was practising multicasting just now.
Without "ip pim autorp listener" configured on the routers (RP/Mapping Agents/Transit) running in sparse-mode,
(*,224.0.140) & (*,224.0.139) can still flow on all routers (RP/Mapping Agents/Transit) even though the routers are configured for sparse mode.
Only when "ip pim autorp listener" configured on the routers (RP/Mapping Agents/Transit), only then
(S,224.0.140) & (S,224.0.139) can flow on all routers (Mapping Agents/Transit).
Also, in a few of my routers, i can see (*,228.200.200.201), tried to google for this multicast address, but cant find any information. Am using dynamips for practising.
Thanks for any kind replies.
Cheers
Nit
