I don't think you need to worry, you have done the right thing by opening up
a ticket with the Cisco folks. My guess is you took your lab in 2007 so
expiry is 2009, but if it is something like 2007 december and you have taken
your SP written within those 6 months, your expiry might still be 2009. I am
not too sure how that 6 month policy works, but it could be this way.

Just wait for the cisco reply hopefully your cert stays till 2011.
