I don't believe that you can change the distance for selected routes within
eigrp, you can only change the distance for ALL external routes. The command
is there but i've never had it work.

The other options that i could think depending on the restrictions of the
questions is using a summary-address with a distance of 255, a
distribute-list or perhaps if you have multiple paths under eigrp, then use
an offset-list with delay &/or bw to favour your other path.
