Connecting two serial RS-232 machines through an IP network

Dear SG,

I need two machines that should be connected together through asynchronous
serial.

I need to separated them by an IP network

MachineA------Asyn Serail ---------CiscoR=================IP
NETWORK================CiscoR-------Asyn----------MachineB

Could anybody advice about the setting that I need on the routers. To
achieve the goal as if the two machines directly connected through Asyn
serial.
