Here is my understanding.

CRB: In CRB mode you can use routing and bridging on the same router. If you four Ethernet interface you can configure 2 interface in bridge mode and 2 interface in routing mode. Both will work independently. You can't mix.

IRB: In IRB mode too you can use routing and bridging on the same router. You can bridge between bridge port and routed port. If you have four Ethernet interface you can configure 2 interface in bridge mode, configure BVI interface, assign and IP address to BVI, add the BVI IP address to routing protocol.
