RSVP
Hey guys, am testing the function of RSVP on my home network.
I have 2 VOIP phones connected. My goal is, once an rtp session is
established, I want to reserve atleast 90kpbs bandwidth for this traffic for
better voice quality.
**looking at Cisco documentation:
-- http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/qos/configuration/guide/qcfrsvp_ps1835_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#int xxx
ip rsvp bandwidth x x
fair-queue x x
--
RSVP does not seam to use any access-list or class-map to match specific packet.
My question is, how does the rsvp config above knows which packet i intend to match? If is rtp or udp or tcp ??
I hope i make sense. Any further explanation on RSVP and its function would be appreciated.
Cheers
Uyota
