I believe you are correct with your first option. Just make sw2 root for
all vlans. This would fulfill the requirement in the task. As to why the
cost needs to be changed I am not sure. It could be for another task. I
would have to look at it. As far as root guard. I don't know that this
should be necessary for this task. Sure in the real world that would be
great but to simply answer the task stick with your option 1. Just my
take...
