I am seeing a lot of chatter about dynamips and how to get it to work.
Yes, it is pretty cool to play with if you have nothing better to do.
As far as CCIE studies, are you really saving any money when you are
spending most of your time troubleshooting dynamips or when you run into a
lab issue, you have to wonder if it is your config or the dynamips
application?
How much is your time actually worth?
What is your goal? To learn dynamips so you can run a full lab in windows
or to pass your CCIE lab?
I have not seen a job posting yet that requires a thourough understanding of
dynamips.
I do not have any problems running full labs on actual equipment. When you
login, it is ready to go.
Rack rentals from most vendors are so cheap these days, it only makes sense
if the CCIE certification is your goal.
I had to get out my 2 cents.
Whatever you decide, good luck with your studies.
