Hi Mac,
Well, if 2 routers have the same priority on a multiaccess segment,
the one with the highest router-id wins and DR election. I would set
the priority of my DR to be 255 and probably set the router-id to be
255.255.255.255 :)
This way if there is a tie in the priority between the new device and
my DR, my preferred DR would have a higher router-id anyway, and it
would win the election.
