I too have been preparing for the SP lab and modifying my R&S lab strategy
to suit the different technology focus. Whereas in the R&S lab I kept a
single list of all interface IPs to put into a tcl ping script, I now keep
an interface IP list for each AS in the scenario, and add to the list any
additional IPs that the scenario requires the AS to be able to reach.
The short answer (and the Cisco answer) is "It Depends". Each AS generally
should be able to have full intra-AS reachability and whatever additional
reachability the lab spells out.
