We were not permitted to bring kids into the exhibition area last year. They
had signs posted with the age restrictions. I'm guessing because they had
adult beverages in that area. It is possible to take children into the
common areas (not the lecture rooms) but that wouldn't be much fun for them
I'm sure. I had my wife and daughter with me last year but they did their
own thing during the day sicne there just wasn't much for them at the
Convention Center.

What's a networkers referral?
Do they let you bring kids?
If you are not doing anything specific, then the power session might not be
helpful to you. But say if you are about to roll out a massive GETVPN
deployment, then sitting in the front asking a shot load of questions is
priceless :)

I went last year and if I had paid out of pocket I wouldn't have been happy.
I also did the $795 thing and it wasn't great either. If you're after a day
of trade shows and a huge networking experience then this is for you but if
you think you're going to get a bunch of awesome technical info from the
lectures then you're likely going to be disappointed.
The parties and entertainment though are second to none and I had a chance
to meet some of the listers and bigwigs (such as Scott Morris and Brude
Caslow) so it wasn't a complete waste. ;-)
YMMV - Rik

Ok damn fine I'm going. Sad thing is I don't have any company to go with so
if anyone would like a buddy for a day let me know!
Have any of you ever went to the pre Techtorial? are they worth the $795 or
waste of time?
I hear all there was a CCIE party but they don't do that anymore :(
