Hey Herbert,

This is one of those labs that there has been numerous discussion on
and it still flags up as been a confusion.

While some in the past have even opened a TAC case, thinking its a bug
within IOS and some have argued the distance command in OSPF "works
alike charm" as one guru in this forum has said, it still remains an
enigma if you asked me.

Anyways, so my conclusion to this problem: If you are tyring to make
some prefixes chosen over others within the same routing protocol, I
will use metric to solve the problem. While making a router prefer
prefixes between two or more routing protocols, I will use AD as the
determining factor.

It will be interresting to see what the guys from IE would have to say
about that particular lab you are working on. I have copied and pasted
their solution, but it never worked. This problem hunted me down in
the first attempt on the lab, IT JUST DOESNT WORK!!

Anyways, lets see if any other person has found a solution for the problem.

HTH

Sadiq
