My Advice is no to use Vista at all, the CPU under Vista is under a lot more
strain,

I have a dual core AMD laptop when Im on the road with 2GB of RAM, I got so
frustrated with Vista I ended up dual booting it specifically for dynamips.

Some people have managed ok with Vista, but if you have a look around gregs
hacki forum, there is even this post suggests a toaster makes a better
companion than Vista.
