The thought is that everything must be FUNCTIONAL. it's kinda like making a
really complicated ACL and then neglecting to apply it to an interface.

Yes, it is a lab. No, you don't really have real hosts or traffic... But
it's all about pretending, and without applying, it wouldn't be functional.

So often there are "hidden" or "implied" requirements in order to make
something actually work. Verify what you have done as best you can, and
you'll find most of these things along the way!

My theory is that the IE test writers do this on purpose to make sure that
CCIE candidates understand that there isn't always a definite 100 percent
answer and this vagueness is the hardest part of this lab exam. I have
seen discussions in the IE forums on this and there never seems to be a
direct answer either.

Another example of this would be the snmp-server enable traps command or
lack thereof in certain labs.

Another possibility is that Brian and Brian are just evil teachers who like
messing with us =).
