I would have pegged them as a TME (Technical Marketing Engineer) because
clearly there was some marketing going on there. :)

I don't recall any bonus points, but perhaps they got rid of those when I
passed the lab.

hehehehe... Brian Dennis may know, he's had his longer than I have!

Subject: OT: A Funny Press Release Regarding A 10-Year CCIE

OK, I confess that this snippet from a local press release is a tad old
(circa 2005), but I just came across it when it popped up in response to a
google search and I thought ya'll might enjoy it as much as I did:

"We are very proud of !!!!'s technical accomplishments and his recognition
by Cisco of being one of only 31 Ten-Year CCIEs worldwide is outstanding,"
said ****, chief technology officer. "Every day, !!!! leverages his in-depth
knowledge of Cisco's devices and networking vision to help accelerate our
customers' strategic network automation initiatives via our **** software.
In fact, !!!!'s the only CCIE I know who scored higher than 100 percent on
the Cisco CCIE lab evaluation. He truly epitomizes the definition of a Cisco
Certified Internetwork Expert."

WOW! That's one hell of a CCIE there, wouldn't you say!? Certified 10
years _and_ scored better than 100% on his lab (perhaps cumulatively over
time?). One wonders if "****" wasn't the CFO vs. the CTO? I think that's
the only shop where you can surpass the 100% mark with a straight face...
