I guess I have to second Joe on this. I sought his advice on the below and
he pretty much told me the same several months back. I did do tcl scripts
and switch macros (to good effect and without too terribly much time lost)
but no aliases or any of that other stuff. I never used them in my
preparation and, after some thought, elected not to incorporate them into my
approach at the last. As Joe said to me, "think deliberately about what
you're typing and why you're doing it, don't just kick off a bunch of
aliases in response to a given situation" (a major paraphrase there!)...
