Hi Ahsan,

I had a similar system as yours, a q6600 cpu over an x38 intel chipset and
4 gb ram (you don't need 4gb bytheway).

Over windows, it ran Ok, but after 3 hours, I found it unstable, and
instances started to fall down one after another.
I spent some time over there, but I went nowhere.
I tried running it over Fedora, and I really see a lot more stable
And controllable system. I don't know I have the feeling that the
Dynamips is really stable over here. Just still have to spend some
Time to bridge the TS to the loopback or tap interface.

But anyway, I would recommend you to continue chasing the driver
for the DMA. Unfortunately, I'm not expert in Linux, but I'm sure we have
in the GS expert people who can help you.

Cheers,
Peter

Hello,

  i recently got a Core2Quad/Intel DF33FB mborad/2GB DDR system. Windows is
able to load all 14 cisco 3640s in dynamips, as required for the r&s lab.
But someone has suggested that if you run dynamips on Windows for a few
hours, its bound to crash. I wanna know how much there is to it? Do you guys
get frequent crashes when running dynamips over windows?

Also, iam unable to install Fedora n getting "HDA: Interrupt lost" msg
over n over. i think DMA controller driver may need to be installed. Its
there on my motherboard CD, but how do i install it?

Any help would be highly appreciated

  Rgds,
  Ahsan

  Hi GS,
I just bought an HP Desktop (intel core 2 duo CPU,E6750 @ 2.66hz and 2 gig
RAM).I hope to install UBUNTU or RHEL 5 on it. Do you think it will be
sufficient to run IE labs.

Tsaku.
