Normally, a switch/router saves the vlan in the flash.
Since dynamips emulated routers have no real flash, you need to vlan.dat
file in the nvram as indicated previously using :
Router(config)# vtp file nvram:/vlan.dat
Another thing is that dynamips does not emulate a switch, it is actually a
router with a 16-port switch card, where the use of the legacy vlan database
is a must. We cannot use the exec mode to configure the vlan/vtp info.

strange ???????
You should check manually by opening text file after you save your
config, whether that config is there or not ...

Subject: Dynamips VTP issue...vlan.dat file
Importance: Low
Hi
I Have an issue in Dynamips when I am practicing, every thing ok .
But if I saved the configuration and closed the dynamips and open it
again ,all the configuration are there other than VTP configuration. So
I want to know is there any possibility to save the VTP info (vlan.dat
file) in Dynamips permanently.
Regards,
Nanthee.
