HI,

It's seems to be Internetwork expert workbook task J I asked my self the
same question during studying.

This is totally depending on the task restrictions, for example if the task
mention that DO not use network command ONLY, so it's valid to use 1-IP ospf
area x under interface, 2-redistribute connected, 3-attach the interface to
another OSPF process and redistribute it under your main process.

But if the task asking you to advertise the interface into OSPF and said DO
NOT use network command and do not add it to any area, so in such case
redistribute is your way to go.

Again it's totally depending on the task restriction.
