They make the lab price a fixed local currency amount for each location
rather than use the fixed $1400USD, I believe this is so the local
market knows what they are getting, and also because if they didn't do
this then the local currency amount (what you need to pay for the lab)
would be changing EVERY day - imagine the confusion!

CCO: "you have paid, but you are $1.32 short"
CCIE candidate: "but I worked out the exchange rate on the day I paid"
CCO: "you used the wrong rate, you need to pay another $1.32"

Remember the local lab location has costs that need to be met, and with
each country being a separate business they need to cover the costs of
the lab, proctor etc, they need to be able to budget on a local currency
amount, and remove the fluctuation in currency markets as much as
possible.

Etc etc

Just my 2.2 cents (inc GST) ;)

difference...

IN JAPAN: its 1641 USD
IN India : 1400 USD only
In Sydney: 1672 USD

i used the xe.com for currency exchange rate.

Any idea ??????????????????
