See I hear this all the time about extra configuration
not being a problem.

However, there are some times I think a person ought
to consider the question fully.

If a person is being asked for a certain type of
command and there are 4 nearly identical options - and
the person does all 4 of them...

Then I think a person is likely to lose these "easy"
points. Since the person clearly did not understand
the task enough to answer the task correctly.

Instead a shotgun approach was used.

I here the same things when people ask "what if I get
locked out by enabling aaa new-model"... and some
other people mention creating a profile for VTY and
CON and applying it to linee vty or the console.

I'd think if you did this you would probably violate
something somewhere unless told otherwise.

Again it likely means one does not understand the task
completely.

Just a thought.

In my mind, the CCIE Labs are asking for very explicit
answers after taking away one or more options from a
very finite number of options based on each
technology.

There may be some rare exceptions - but I ask who
wants to pass on re-grade?

Better to spend a little more time trying to fully
understand what is being asked.
