Re: L2 thru same L3 switch

How about this:

Show us:

sh int for each port.

sh vlan for each switch

sh int trunk for each switch

sh int f0/x switchport for each port in question

sh ip int brief | i up for each switch

I'm not awake yet.

Right now you say you are trunking and vlan 10 is
being carried over all 4 switches.

However, you also said one of your switches is a
routed port and while that is great, are you also
stating that is it being used to interconnect your
switches? A routed port will not trunk. Either
switchport or no switchport. So do you have more to
tell us?

FYI -

When you ask a question, please try to include as much
detail as possible, especially where configuration i
concerned if you really want fast (immediate)
feedback.

Ok, 7:12am and I'm still seeing double.

Also? Another thing as I look at this again:

1. R1 is a /30
2. Sw4 is routed port with a /30

Correct?

Why is Sw2 a routed port on vlan 10 as well?

/30 usually means 2 ip addresses for me and it also
means point to point interfaces.

So I read three interfaces... but I'm not awake.

One final run through on the part where you removed
Sw2 says that you removed that "routed port" and then
it works...

You know for Sw2 to be transit, it would need to trunk
to both Sw1 and to Sw3. And then we need to revisit
what you meant by a routed port on Sw2 and why you
needed it or thought you did.

Ok, back to my Zzzzz.....
