ok, so the title probably doesn't make much sense, heres the issue, layout
as below:
SW1 --- SW2 --- SW3 --- SW4
| |_____________:
R1
SW1 to R1 on VLAN 10
SW2 is a routed port to VLAN 10 on SW4.
R1 and SW4 routed port on same /30.
Trunks between all switches carrying vlan 10.
For the /30 on Sw2 to ping R1 it goes as follows Sw2 Layer 3 (layer 2
-Sw4-Sw3-Sw2-Sw1 ) Layer 3 R1
I can not ping between Sw2 and R1, keep getting encapsulation failed on Sw2,
if I remove the trunks Sw1--Sw2--Sw3 and make a trunk between Sw1 and Sw3
(bypassing Sw2) then it works!
