If say, R4 has one route learned from R1, then R3 will also learn the same
route. OSPF having a lower AD, R3 will install the OSPF learned route
rather than the RIP route. Only RIP routes installed into the routing
table are redistributed (or connected interfaces running RIP). What do
you see in the routing table for R1 and R3?

If you set the RIP distance lower for the route you wish to redistribute
(or set the OSPF distance higher) on both R1 and R3 then you should see
both OSPF routes on R4.
