Hi,
I was doing some exercise on a simple topology to
understand the mutual redistribtion
issues. Can anyone please help me on understanding the
behaviour i am observing.
R3
/ \
/ \
/ \
(net X)---R2 R4
\ /
\ /
\ /
R1
R2 runs RIPv2.
R4 runs OSPF.
R3,R1 run both RIPv2 and OSPF.
On R3 and R1 I redistribute RIPv2 routes to the OSPF
domain.I was able to understand
the subobtimal routing issue. But when I look at the
OSPF database on R4 there was just
one Type5 entry for net X, either from R1 or from R3.
Is there any reason for this.I thought R4 would
receive two tyep5 LSAs.
Can anyone please help me.
Regards,
Nambi
