Scott, I am following those 2 suggestions:

2) In the 12 day bootcamp, they recommended lab 1,7,8,9,10 & 11 from the
version 4, volume 2 workbook.

What I also find very useful --- and provide tremendous learning value - is
going through config guides, read through and lab the vague parts up.
As you always say, you'll have to take this with a grain of salt ... as I
haven't got my digits yet.
