I'm trying to put together a short list that describes some of the differences between Auto-RP and BSR. Not my strongest area ;-)

Thoughts or suggestions?

auto-rp
uses 224.0.0.39 and 224.0.0.40
has a mapping agent
Auto-RP propagated via dense mode
Highest IP wins for RP redundancy
Can be used with PIM v1
Scoping possible (can map the same group more than once)

BSR
Requires PIM V2
Supports RP load balancing (hash on BSR)
Uses 224.0.0.13
Supports priority on RP
