Sorry, should have included more information. Three interfaces were covered
by rip. The problem is that I used the wrong command.

Rack1R1(config-router)#passive-interface default
Rack1R1(config-router)#do sh run | i passive
 passive-interface default

I don't know why I went with "default passive-int default" the first time;
I've never used that command before. Now I'm curious as to what it actually
accomplishes.
