I have a production problem that I wanted your advice on: I have a router
that is configured for HSRP and is tracking a FastE interface that connects
to our head end with a layer 2 carrier - I have seen issues where carrier
might have an issue on one end but remote site sees its Ethernet connection
as being up and never failovers on HSRP and it has been causing us grief.

I have thought of running IP SLA to run pings to the remote site but being
that it is an older router, I am unable to do it and i have learned that
enabling keepalives on broadcast media does not help either. Pls help.

Any suggestions are very welcome!
