Multicast - backup RP

I wanted to check with you guys on one question.

I need to setup backup RP scenario, router R1 should be primary and R2 should be backup but both are in different BGP AS and doesn't share same loopback address.

Is it a valid solution if I make

1. R1 & R2 -> RP candidate and Mapping agent

2. run MSDP between R1 & R2

3. Keep loopback address of R1 higher than R2.

Pls suggest.
