I have tried that strategy in practice labs (shutting down unused ports),
but just ended up giving myelf headachs. because maybe I shut one down that
I needed in another task, or accidentally shut the wrong ones down (i can be
a dumbass like that). You don't really know what type of layer 2 docs your
going to get in the lab (how detailed, etc..) So personally I would not do
it unless asked to. Just my opinion.
