OSPF is a link state protocol and as such all networks are propagated to the
entire area with no exception. you can only influence you local Routing
Table within an area but the OSPF DB will be the same on all.

if I needed to isolate R4 as it sound from the topology you specify he is
connected via single link to R3 then I would simply put him in a separate
area and then I could filter using area range stub...
