There can't be more CCIE's than qualified people who can pass the test.

If the test was offered 24x7 at every walmart, gas station, etc and somehow
was proctored and was just as hard as it is now, there will only be the same
number of people a day/week/month/year who can pass now.

The current # of people passing every so often, has nothing to do with the
wait time required to get your lab date. If 100,000 people go unprepared,
then not one of those people will get their number.

The pass rate on any day, at any location is still IMHO about 8% to 12.5%.
When I took my labs we would shake hands and talk about our lives leading up
to the test afterwards in the parking lot, etc.

The only question I asked of anyone was how do you think you did?

The universal answer...

"I didn't study hard enough, and I know how I need to study for next time".

ONCE and ONLY ONCE did I ever say "new track, this one is complete".

And yes, that day I got it.

Cindy,

It's a mystery to me. I reckon we will be 20000 come end of February.
