I tried this method 3 days ago on a 2811 running 12.4(10c) and it didn't
work. I still had to reboot.

I bet the "default int s0/1" command will work for you. Seems like I
have used it before. I can't imagine having to reboot a router to
change the link type. That would be ridiculous in a real-world
environment.

Hi techs,

I was configuring point to poing subinterfaces for frame relay
multipoint connection.I mistakingly configured #interface s0/1 p instead
of #interface s0/1 mu.

now i cant change it back.if i change it back it gives me an error %
Warning: cannot change link type i tiried deletting the subinterface
but it wont delete,gives me this error.

 #no int s0/0.1 point-to-point
 Not all config may be removed and may reappear after reactivating the
sub-interface

what do i do ?
