I agree,

throw up a couple (or a few) hundred pounds on the bench and you'll have
plenty of adrenaline to help you out. I've studied sometimes while on a
recumbent bike or stair-climber although it's not exactly efficient.

I hate coffee and I cant stand the energy drinks, make me jittery. Keeping
naturally healthy is the best way and maybe adding some vitamins would do the
trick.
